Teaching

We are always seeking motivated students who are interested in a Bachelor and Master thesis in the field of security. Please come around if you have already an idea or we can find together an interesting thesis topic for you.

About

I received my diploma degree in computer science with the focus on IT security from the Technical University of Darmstadt in Germany. From 2007 until 2010, I worked as a researcher at NEC Europe Network Laboratories in Heidelberg. Within this time, I worked in projects mainly dealing with wireless sensor network security. In December 2010, I joined the Security in Distributed Systems group at HAW Hamburg.

Research Interests

  • Security in mobile and smart phones
  • Security in wireless sensor networks and general computer security
  • General interests: security models and provable security, performance analysis and optimization, security and privacy in smart grid
